Designed for pilots who already hold a tailwheel endorsement and want to build on their skills. Training is tailored to your goals and includes: precision wheel and three-point landings, advanced directional control activities, strong crosswind technique, soft and rough field operations.
Backcountry Flying

Learn the planning, decision-making, and aircraft handling required for off-airport and remote operations in Alaska. Training includes: site evaluations, mountain and valley flying, various off airport takeoffs and landings.
Meet the Instructors
Stacy came to aviation as a second career after spending ten years as a teacher and traveler all over the world. Originally from Colorado, Stacy moved to Alaska to pursue mountain and backcountry flying. She has since worked as an instructor, medevac pilot and is a proud owner of the 140. Alaska is now home, where she loves the exploration of flying here and sharing that with others.
Chris grew up in Nikiski, Alaska, where aviation has always been a big part of his life. Coming from a flying family, Chris has spent his life exploring Alaska. His experience includes flying for various companies throughout Alaska, medevac operations, and countless hours exploring Alaska's backcountry. Recently, Chris fulfilled a lifelong dream by building his own Super Cub.
